My experience at LCS!

Hi everyone!!

Upcoming Wednesday is my last day at London College of Style (LCS). Before I graduate from LCS I wanted to tell you all about my experiences! To start with, I absolutely loved the course and the teachers. They have a way of making you feel welcome and wanted! They want to make sure you feel confident and comfortable to go out and make it in the styling/fashion world. Because of them I know so much more about the fashion world! I want to start exploring it and making my way in this absolutely addictive life.

Through the course we were given assignments and briefs. Because of all these briefs I discovered my love for customization all thanks to Claire Angels lessons and the editorial photoshoots. I just love creating something of my own. And I love it even more when people ask me where I bought it, with a big and satisfying smile I can answer: "Oh, it's actually my creation! :-)"

Next to the customizing, I had a good practice of making amazing moodboards. For almost every brief we had to create a moodboard. This will definitely help me in the future to get some amazing jobs!

Last but not least, the editorials! I loved creating the looks for the photoshoots! Doing research, getting to know the different trends, fashion designers, beadingshops, vintage markets, fabrics,... I always had a stressy feeling, hoping to come up with an amazing outfit and an even better photoshoot! Customizing your outfit so it would be completely your style and your look. All the stress would just fade away and turn into this exciting butterfly feeling on the day of the shoot, when you see your model wearing your created look and your fellow students tell you what an amazing job you did!

This was absolutely an amazing experience, I would suggest it to everyone who wants to get to know everything about the styling business. It is a good stepping stone into the fashion world and to start building your portfolio. I will definitely keep in touch with LCS.
